Dr. Sassoon has 25 years of experience in women’s health care and currently provides gynecologic services at Body Proud AKS, located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Specializing in Gynecology, Dr. Sassoon performs nonsurgical and surgical women’s health procedures for functional and cosmetic enhancement, including repair of prolapses, labiaplasty, laser therapy, and laparoscopy along with abdominal surgeries if necessary.
Within his state-of-the-art Park Avenue facility, he provides customized consultation to each patient. He engages a devoted team of medical professionals for his surgical procedures. By matching his surgical expertise with an emotional understanding of his patients, Dr. Sassoon aims to improve the quality of daily life for his patients.
Dr. Sassoon studied physiology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, before graduating from New York Medical College. He then completed an internship and residency with honors at New York City’s Lenox Hill Hospital, where he has held several positions and has admitting privileges. He has also taught as a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University Medical Center and holds a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University in New York City, which has helped inform various aspects of his practice. He is presently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Hofstra School of Medicine where he instructs medical students at Lenox Hill Hospital here in NYC.
Dr. Sassoon has been a member of several medical organizations, including the New York County Medical Society, the Westchester County Medical Society, and the New York Gynecologic Society. He is also a past president fellow of the Hugh R.K. Barber Alumni Society.
In 2006, Dr. Sassoon opened a private concierge medical practice, concentrating on Obstetrics and Gynecology. For the past 10 years he has also focused in vaginal surgeries improving the quality of life for numerous women. Body Proud AKS helps to provide women with high-quality, specialized gynecology services and surgeries in a supportive environment.
